Request To Austrian Government

My name is Saba Noor. I was born in Karachi, Pakistan on 10th of august 1966. I graduated from Karachi University and started working as a state lawyer in Karachi during my job i realized that so many things are going wrong, unjust; innocent people were captured in jails without any legal obligation and because of their financial situations they were not able to get a lawyer.

In 1997 i established a legal aid organization where we provided free legal support without differentiating religion, cast or skin color. We visited different jails and found lots of innocent people including womens and children's and helped them.

We met a man named Mohmmeddin aged 50 years, he was in jail since 15 years because of family dispute. The family members bribe the police and put him in the jail and his wife and children's were not able to fought his case because of finical reason so the wife contacted us and after listening her story we took his case. After 2 months we won the case but soon we found that he is suffering from cancer on last stage and he wasn't medically treated in jail, after freeness of 2 months he died.

We found many cases like that and successfully we took out many people form jails. After doing some cases we faced many troubles 2 lawyers were killed form our group, i was fired from my job as a state lawyer without any reason, this all happened because we were working against police and stooping them to misuse their powers but after my job dismissal police created some fake cases against me and my group members. We all were hiding in small cities and in year 2000 i left Pakistan and came to Austria. I chose Austria because my father living there since 40 years and he sponsored me.

I applied for political asylum in Vienna and got positive response from the Austrian authorities, and they gave me the status of Recognized Refugee (anerkannter flüchtling) but my son was still in Pakistan because Austrian embassy in Pakistan didn't issue the visa with me. My health situation was not very well, but i struggled one year for the visa of my son and finally he got the visa in 2001 and he came to Austria. At that time i was living in family hostel (Familienheim) and struggling for a government apartment (Gemeindewohnung) but my health got worst, i had to stay 21 days in the hospital because my left kidney was not functioning properly and i was unable to do hard work but 1 year later i got the apartment. As i was in Austria from 6 years i applied for the Austrian Nationality(Staatsbuergerschaft) in the end of year 2005 but because of the new nationality laws i was unable to get the Austrian citizenship. The reason i got from the authorities was that i was not working full time and i was taking social help(Sozilhilfe) from Austrian authorities.

I need Austrian citizenship because my law education is not valid in Austria and if i study here for notification it will take minimum 3 years but if i will get the Austrian citizenship then i will be able to give the exam for international lawyer and i can also work in Austria as a international lawyer otherwise i have no future and i have to do labor work.

I request to Austrian Government to consider my case.
